Show me a band with an upright bass and I’ll swoon. Add a banjo and kazoos I’m hooked. I need to see these guys live.

OH MY GOODNESS, THEY’RE PLAYING MUSIKFEST AUGUST 10TH!!! If only I had friends here to go with me.

banana pancake: take 2
Results:

these are made with the same batter; I just added some boiled water to thin it out/make it more pancake like.
just as delicious
didn’t lose any flavor by adding water
peanutbutter is an awesome substitute for syrup
did I mention that these pancakes are delicious?!
I want to cook and bake for strangers
recipe is available HERE

This is the one other thing; a ring I found at a thrift store.  I paid a whole $2 for it but I fell in love as soon as I saw it.  I could have purchased the matching bracelet, however I don’t wear bracelets.  Awesome thing is, it’s a locket as well, or I could just put my coke in it.

Besides some clothes, food and one other thing, this is what I bought in twelve hours worth of shopping.  Every time I stay up  instead of napping/sleeping before heading to the Farmer’s Market, I end up out shopping for twelve hours.  (I’m boiling water now in hopes that some sleepy-time tea and Brian Eno will help me sleep)
Anyway pictured:

face wash
new tooth brush
new tongue scrapper
new toothpaste
a book called Love Is a Mix Tape by Rob Sheffield*

*I totally judge books by their covers and walked past the memoir table and saw a cover with mixtapes on it.  My brain automatically went to Muxtape, which in turn made me smile and lead to me deciding I should buy it and see if I like it.  This method of judging books by covers has only ever failed me once, and it wasn’t an extreme fail either, just moderate.
