hahah, my mom just booked a flight for me and this is what my name appeared as. have to make a call to fix that!
Now that the warm weather is here, I am seeing the advantages of being tucked up under the eaves as I am. For one thing, the apartment is nice and bright, yet is shaded from the more intense direct sunlight. And, I can keep my windows wide open, even during a thunderstorm!
Last night we had a big one, and I just stood there in front of the open window, feeling like I was in the middle of the storm, but not getting wet. I wish I could better convey how wonderful that felt. And the smell! Fresh rain, wet flowers, soil and mulch. It was just great.
This made me miss the east coast. Summer thunderstorms are amazing; and for a second I swore I smelled that exact smell that i love and know so well!
A producer friend sent me this link, of Conan’s opening bit he ran on the first night of opening the Tonight Show. He said it really reminded him of Westless American. I doubt my little film influenced the producers at all, but you never know.
so I watched the first episode but we had to go pick up caiti holle and missed the opening.

Cutting my jeans into shorts tonight. It’s a very scary process.
i cut them longer then put them on, then cut again; normally still leaving some to roll up.

another bright spot
Once I get a job at TJs I can walk or ride a bike to work everyday, which means I’ll be saving money on gas. It will be amazing, not only that, Torrid is just down the road from TJs. Also sweett is awesome, thank you for your kind words. I’m totally going to go through my dvds and get rid of a bunch!
